Congrats to our Adams County Freedom-Loving Clients For Their Victory Over Proposed Unconstitutional Restrictions to Free Speech

June 2013: Together with the Colorado ACLU and top conservative Denver litigator Sean Gallagher, the Stop Storm Water Utility Association prevailed over a proposed restriction to protests that would have almost entirely eliminated any ability for citizens to raise their voice in opposition to a controversial new water program that will costs taxpayers millions annually.  As SSUA's Stan Martin told The Denver Post, the county's decision to reverse the policy was a step in the right direction but far from enough.  A lawsuit is in the works to challenge the program.  "Our organization will not be intimidated nor do we plan to be silent," he told reporters.  "Our nonpartisan organization remains focused on getting the stormwater fee repealed." With the Adams County Treasurer's office reporting that thousands of property owners continue to challenge their new tax bills and the broader purpose of the program, this issue is far from likely to fade from the spotlight anytime soon.
